Ensuring Safety Through Customized Solution for MRI Machines and NMR Equipment

INTRODUCTION

Anti-magnetic components are required if systems or devices are placed directly in the magnetic field present near MRI and NMR equipment. Safety becomes a major concern because, where extreme magnetism is present, even a small amount of magnetic response can cause catastrophic failures and injuries. To address these concerns, a client requested lnnodisk to provide custom products with non-magnetic components.

Innodisk Solution

  • Customized non-magnetic mSATA SSD
  • DDR3 SODIMM DRAM Module
CHALLENGE
  • Non-Magnetic PCBA Design

The PCBA must only include non-magnetic components to prevent interference with sensitive equipment.

  • Stable Performance

Device stability should remain unaffected, even with alternative parts.

  • Continuous Monitoring

Effective monitoring ensures early detection of issues, minimizing downtime.

  • Predictive Maintenance

Predictive maintenance helps prevent failures by identifying potential issues before they occur.

IMPLEMENTATION

Innodisk redesigned the SSD schematic and removed magnetic components to enhance performance. Both DRAM and storage devices are manufactured under strict quality standards to ensure reliability. Additionally, Innodisk’s exclusive iSMART tool provides efficient device health monitoring, enabling proactive management and maintenance of the devices to ensure long-term reliability and performance.

OUTCOME

Even with the difficult conditions laid out by this application, the client achieved its design goals with lnnodisk's tailor-made SSD design and DRAM modules optimized for stable and secure device operations. Combined with lnnodisk's exclusive iSMART tool for seamless device monitoring, this solution provided the client with an easily-integrated solution that avoids the dangers of magnetic interference.
